We're Running So They Can

What is the NICU and what do they do?

NICU stands for neonatal intensive care unit. At the Alberta Children's Hospital, the primary focus of the Edwards Family NICU is babies who need surgery, babies who need cardiac care, and babies whose brains are at risk. The NICU consists of a variety of pediatric specialists who provide treatment to high risk newborns as well as researchers who study new and innovative ways to help these high risk babies early on in life and as they age.

Am I required to register?

Although payment is not required and anyone can join our Strava group, we do still ask that you register yourself individually or as part of a group that will be participating so that our team has an idea of the number of participants involved in this year's run!

How much of my donation is being donated?

Run For Little Ones is a registered Non-Profit Organization (NPO) with the province of Alberta and therefore 100% of the proceeds from the run will be donated to the NICU at the ACH.
